TIP THERM^®  is the classic among temperature sense – test instruments and established almost worldwide. It is used for the early detection of a distal symmetric polyneuropathy, and thus for the prevention of the diabetic foot.

The instrument has been developed for physicians and patients to provide a practicable and simple test method. The method achieves reproducible test results at ambient temperatures up to 23 ° C.

TIP THERM^®  is made of a special polymer and a metal alloy. Due to the different thermal conductivity of both materials, the faces of the instrument are perceived differently when in contact with the skin. The plastic end feels “warmer” than the metal end.
